Q&A with Personal Training Client Amanda Reed

I like that there is growth always happening within the gym. You know that they really care about their clients and want the best experience while they are at the gym.

Q: When did you join profectus?

A: April 2023

Q: What is your current fitness goal/fitness journey?

A: Lose weight and get stronger. To get my body moving on a consistent basis.

Q: What made you decide to start prioritizing your health/fitness/what motivates you?

A: Just tired of being out of shape. Getting into my 40s and not being active was taking a toll on me physically and mentally. I finally just wanted to do this for me.

Q: What challenges have you faced that you’ve had to overcome on your journey?

A: Learning to be proud of the non-scale victories. Feeling better and seeing my body change is just as important as seeing numbers on the scale go down.

Q: What would you recommend to anyone out there who wants to start focusing on their health and fitness?

A: Just start small with a class or trying out a trainer. Once you get started it gets so much easier to get in the gym regularly.

Q: What would you recommend to anyone who was in a similar place you were?

A: I was so nervous about what people would think or say about me while working out. But it’s all in your head. Everyone is here for the same goals of being on this fitness journey.

Q: What do you enjoy most about BJ as a coach?

A: We definitely have fun with it. He knows how to keep pushing even when I don’t think I can’t push anymore.

Q: How has BJ helped you reach your goals?

A: He’s really helped me feel comfortable with what exercises I’m doing and how to do them correctly.

Q: Favorite thing about being a part of the profectus community?

A: I love the laid back atmosphere. Also I like that there is growth always happening within the gym. You know that they really care about their clients and want the best experience while they are at the gym.
